This original fresco by Nicola Vigini has the most luxurious sheen due to the lime in the plaster and waxed finish. Inspired by the Villa Livia fresco in the Palazzo Massimo in Rome, Nicola changed the flora into a more Texas inspired theme.
This authentic fresco, hand painted on lime based plaster, portrays a section of Livia Drusilla's famed Roman garden mural. Livia was the wife of Augustus and the walls of her dining room were lined with this beautiful scene depicting native Italian flora.
The copper frame has a hint of verdigris to compliment the lovely atmospheric hues of blue and turquoise.
